Coordinated Enrollment Specialist

The Coordinated Enrollment Specialist assist families with young children with eligibility, selection, and placement in Lane County's Preschool Promise programs. In addition, this position participates in a Regional Stewardship Committee to coordinate outreach and recruitment across all publicly funded early care and education programs, with an emphasis on reaching and serving priority populations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF POSITION

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:

  • Ground outreach and family support efforts in anti-racism, while acknowledging and addressing systemic oppression, equity, wealth disparity, intersectionality, and other areas important to social justice.
  • Participate in all Preschool Promise and other early care and education-related projects, including continuous quality improvement, while developing and fostering positive, strategic relationships with Preschool Promise providers and external partner organizations, including the Department of Early Learning and Care, Quality Care Connections, Oregon Department of Human Services, Head Start of Lane County, Relief Nursery, and Early Childhood CARES.
  • Develop deep understanding and facility with the Preschool Promise Enrollment Manual and keep current with all program policies and trainings delivered through the Department of Early Learning and Care.
  • Communicate with all Preschool Promise providers and families using trauma informed practices and a high degree of customer service. Develop and deepen relationships with families to better understand the needs and circumstances of the region's priority populations, and participate in the planning of recruitment and engagement strategies that promote inclusion and belonging.
  • Support families in-person, over the phone and through email with each step of the Preschool Promise application process, including navigating the online application database.
  • Facilitate data collection and analysis for the purposes of improving program quality and reporting to the Early Learning Division.
  • Develop deep knowledge of and connection to local and statewide resources for families, including basic needs support, parenting education, mental health services, healthcare, child care, and other critical support services.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times; keep accurate, complete, and FERPA-compliant child/family records.
  • Provide a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy, quality and professionalism in assisting with documents, reports, proposals, and other correspondence.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements include:


  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required, bicultural highly preferred
  • Associates degree with two years related working experience; or Bachelor's degree, ideally in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Marketing, Program Management, Business Administration or another related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

WORK TIME APPROXIMATELY:

  • In Office: 60%
  • Remote: 40%

SALARY STATEMENT

The budgeted lifespan salary range for this position is currently $19.00 to $22.64 per hour. Proffered salaries are determined by several factors including applicant's knowledge, ­­­skills, experience, position, equity, and market.
